Following the latest trailer, Saber Interactive has dropped a new batch of details about Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in their monthly update, just ahead of the game’s release.

Here’s what fans can expect:

PC Edition Insights:

  • No Denuvo: The PC version will launch free of Denuvo anti-piracy measures.
  • No Ray Tracing or Advanced Upscaling: Unfortunately, there will be no ray tracing, HDR, Nvidia DLSS 3, or AMD FSR 3 at launch. The game will use DLSS 2 and FSR 2 for upscaling.
  • Modding: Mod support is not on the agenda, so don’t expect any user-created content initially.
  • Steam Deck Support: Currently, there’s no Steam Deck compatibility, though it’s in development.

Console Details:

  • Performance Modes: On consoles, you can choose between Quality Mode (4K at 30 fps on PS5 and 1440p at 30 fps on Xbox Series S) or Performance Mode (60 fps at 1080p on PS5 and Xbox Series X).

Online Features:

  • Cross-Platform Saves: Enabled via the Prism Ray Online Services platform.
  • Crossplay: Available across all platforms for the story campaign and PvE. PvP will see PC and console players separated. Crossplay can be toggled off.
  • LAN Play: Not supported.
  • Anti-Cheat: The PC version will launch with Easy Anti-Cheat.
  • PvE Squad Composition: Teams must have Space Marines of different classes, while PvP allows up to two players per class per team.
  • Friendly Fire: Disabled across all modes.
  • Communication: Players can use voice chat, a wheel of pre-recorded messages, and text chat on PC.

Additional Features:

  • DualSense Controller Support: Available without haptic feedback.
  • Accessibility Options: Includes subtitle size adjustments, three colorblind modes, and interface element toggles.
