ASRock is rolling out a suite of motherboards for AMD’s Ryzen 9000 processors, showcasing seven new models: the X870E Taichi, X870E Taichi Lite, X870E Nova WiFi, X870 Steel Legend WiFi, X870 Riptide WiFi, X870 PRO RS WiFi, and X870 PRO RS. These boards aren’t just for the latest Ryzen 9000 series; they’re also backward compatible with Ryzen 8000 and 7000 processors.

While all models offer impressive features, the standout is the inclusion of Wi-Fi 7 support across most of the new lineup, with the exception of the X870 PRO RS. Each motherboard is equipped with at least one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, though the X870E Taichi and X870E Taichi Lite models double up with two. Storage enthusiasts will appreciate the single M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and at least one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot for NVMe drives across all models.

The X870E Nova WiFi takes a slightly different approach with its PCIe slots, offering one PCIe 3.0 x16 and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. The rest of the boards feature one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. USB connectivity is robust with two USB4 (Type-C) ports and one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port on each model, while the X870E Taichi, X870E Taichi Lite, and X870E Nova WiFi models are outfitted with 5Gb network adapters. The remaining boards come with 2.5Gb LAN.

Highlighting the power and efficiency of these boards, the X870E Taichi and X870E Taichi Lite stand out with their 27-phase VRM power subsystem, featuring a 24+2+1 phase design. Additionally, these motherboards include innovative mechanisms for easy installation and removal of NVMe drives and video cards, simplifying the upgrade process.
