Crucial has just expanded its popular T500 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD lineup with the long-awaited 4TB model, catering to those in need of high-capacity, ultra-fast storage solutions. This new addition is available in two variants: one with a sleek aluminum heatsink for enhanced cooling, and another with a minimalist graphene sticker for those who prefer a more compact design.

Originally launched in 2023, the Crucial T500 series made waves with its impressive performance, offering 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB options. However, many tech enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the promised 4TB model, which Crucial has now delivered—albeit a bit later than expected.

The 4TB T500 doesn’t disappoint, boasting sequential read speeds of up to 7000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6900 MB/s. While these speeds are slightly lower than the 2TB model, which tops out at 7400 MB/s for reads and 7000 MB/s for writes, the new model still provides exceptional performance for a wide range of demanding applications.

Built on Micron’s 232L 3D TLC NAND memory and powered by the Phison PS5025-E25 controller, the T500 offers robust performance with four NAND memory channels and a DRAM cache, ensuring smooth and reliable data processing.

As for pricing, the 4TB version with the aluminum heatsink is set at $449, while the heatsink-free variant comes in at $399. However, Crucial has already sweetened the deal with a promotional discount in the U.S., bringing the price down to $319.99 for the heatsink version and $309.99 for the standard model. This makes the new 4TB T500 a compelling option for gamers, content creators, and professionals seeking top-tier storage solutions.
