The developers behind the AnTuTu mobile benchmark have just released their latest ranking of Android smartphone performance for August, and the results are turning heads in the flagship segment. Topping the list is the RedMagic 9S Pro+, powered by Qualcomm’s overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, which has taken the crown with a staggering score.
According to AnTuTu, the RedMagic 9S Pro+ in its 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage configuration posted an impressive average score of 2,127,528 points. Hot on its heels, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and iQOO NeoS9 Pro+—both running the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3—secured the second and third spots with scores of 2,107,208 and 2,106,419 points, respectively.
In fourth place is the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, a gaming powerhouse that scored 2,093,592 points. Meanwhile, the fifth spot was claimed by the iQOO Neo9S Pro, which is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ and scored 2,091,933 points. Another MediaTek-powered device, the Redmi K70 Ultra, followed closely with 2,085,769 points, securing sixth place. The remaining slots in the top ten were filled by Vivo’s X100 series models and the OnePlus 12.
It’s important to note that AnTuTu’s monthly performance rankings are based on rigorous criteria. Each model must undergo at least 1,000 tests within the month, and the results can vary depending on the specific configuration of each smartphone, which means the rankings could shift even with the same models in play.
However, while these synthetic benchmark scores offer a glimpse into raw performance, they are just one factor to consider when choosing a new smartphone. Potential buyers should also weigh other crucial aspects such as display quality, battery life, software experience, and camera capabilities before making a decision.
